The Council PTA Diaper Drive benefiting the Little Elm Food Bank was a success! The council presented the 1,514 diapers donated to the food bank representatives at our March 10th meeting.
Letter From the President
Dear Members,
PTA is my passion. I love everything that it means to me, my child and my community. I began volunteering for PTA when my son entered kindergarten. Little did I know that as I was helping do events at his elementary school, the organization that I had joined was the largest volunteer child advocacy group in the nation! As I worked my way through the training and ranks of my Local PTA, I quickly found that there was a much bigger picture and mission for my PTA than what was being utilized.
Every year I learn more about what PTA encourages and enables me to do for all children. I now encourage you to explore how your PTA can look beyond the scope you have set and onto the future "your grandmother's PTA" wanted for all of us. This organization began in Texas as a way to promote "child study and the betterment of the home." Let us now lead the way by always comparing everything we do to our mission - Make every child's potential a reality!
